Job summary

Aramark is recruiting a Cleaning Manager to lead a large team at Catterick Integrated Care Centre, DL9 4EU, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention, and customer service within a healthcare setting.

The role oversees rotas, audits, and compliance, working with clinical teams to support both military and civilian healthcare services. Excellent training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• NHS cleaning experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Experience as Cleaning Supervisor, Team Leader, Cleaning Manager, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of infection prevention and control procedures within healthcare environments.
• Experience managing staff performance, attendance, and workforce planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise changing operational demands.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety, Cleaning Services, or equivalent.
• Qualification in healthcare cleaning or infection prevention.
• Experience using digital auditing and workforce management systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating, and developing a team of cleaning professionals
• Managing rotas, absences, annual leave, and workforce planning
• Conducting regular audits across clinical and non-clinical areas
• Maintaining accurate compliance records, cleaning schedules, and audit documentation
• Ensuring adherence to NHS cleanliness standards, COSHH regulations, and infection prevention protocols
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management activities
• Delivering team briefings and promoting a positive working culture
• Managing cleaning consumables, equipment, and PPE stock levels
• Working closely with clinical teams to support specialist and reactive cleaning requirements
• Driving a strong culture of health, safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Collaborating with all stakeholders to enhance workplace experience and support organisational objectives
• Assisting in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, customers, and colleagues

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Manager to join our team at Catterick Integrated Care Centre (CICC), Catterick Garrison, DL9 4EU. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cleaning professional to lead a large team within a healthcare environment, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, infection prevention, compliance, and customer service are consistently achieved.

Working within a modern healthcare facility supporting both military and civilian healthcare services, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

What you'll be doing

About you

• Demonstrable NHS cleaning experience in a supervisory or management capacity
• Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor, Team Leader, Cleaning Manager, or similar role
• Strong understanding of infection prevention and control procedures within healthcare environments

Additional Information

• Applicants must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work in the UK
• Successful candidates will be required to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
• A thorough understanding of infection prevention and control principles within healthcare environments is essential, including policy implementation, PPE usage, decontamination processes, outbreak response, and statutory reporting requirements
