Job summary

Aramark is recruiting a Cleaner for Alanbrooke Barracks, Thirsk, YO7 3EY. This temporary contract runs until July 2027, offering 20 hours per week with Monday to Friday shifts and flexible hours around school times.

The role includes on-site parking, a fully equipped on-site gym, and access to our benefits app and pension plan. You will maintain high cleanliness standards across mess areas, work independently or with a small team, and handle duties from ablution facilities to guest bedrooms,

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess.
• Working independently and occasionally as part of a team to ensure all cleaning duties are completed.
• Carrying out general cleaning duties including ablution facilities, kitchens, communal areas, and accommodation.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising designated areas.
• Managing waste disposal and adhering to waste segregation requirements.
• Making up guest bedrooms to the required standard.

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaner to join our team at Alanbrooke Barracks, Thirsk, YO7 3EY on a temporary contract until July 2027. What you'll be doing

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess

• Making up guest bedrooms to the required standard
• Checking cleaning equipment and reporting any faults or maintenance concerns
• Identifying and reporting health & safety hazards to management
• Following cleaning schedules and company procedures at all times

Additional Information

• Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and have resided in the UK for at least 3 years.
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo security clearance checks.
• Due to the location of the site and limited public transport links, a reliable method of transport is essential.
