Job summary

Vertas Group is hiring a Cleaner at Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy in Derby. You will help maintain a clean, safe learning environment by carrying out daily cleaning tasks after school hours.

The role requires reliability, the ability to work independently or with others, and a willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check. 10 hours per week, term-time plus half-term deep cleaning, Monday to Friday 3.30pm–5.30pm, 43 weeks per year.

About the Role:

Based at Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy, DE22 1JD, you will be working 10 Hours per week, Mon - Fri 3.30pm - 5.30pm, 43 weeks per year, so we will require holiday deep cleaning during half terms. You'll play a key role in maintaining cleanliness to a high standard that meets our standards and delights our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning toilets and washrooms
• Wiping down tables and surfaces
• General cleaning duties across classrooms and communal areas
• Hoovering and mopping floors
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained

Who are we looking for?

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Enhanced DBS check is required - if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it
• Great communication skills and experience in similar cleaning setting
