Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals Trust are recruiting Cleaning Assistants to maintain cleanliness across our hospitals and environments, contributing to a healthy patient experience. This role involves a flexible, part-time schedule across days, evenings, nights and weekends, with duties that include cleaning throughout clinical and non-clinical areas.

The post requires adherence to cleaning standards, infection control, and delivering good customer service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning hospital or clinical environments preferred.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Attention to hygiene standards and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Cleans ward areas according to a schedule ensuring the environment is to the highest standard, and that infection risks are kept to a minimum.
• Responsible for cleaning during and after reported infectious outbreaks to reduce/remove the risk of infection throughout the hospital.
• Provides a great level of customer service to all patients, staff and various stakeholders.
• Brings to the attention of the line manager any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that pose danger or risks to health and safety.
• Cleans clinical and non-clinical areas (including sanitary areas and thoroughfares), ensuring the hospital is perceived as clean from entry.

Please note that whilst we provide a 24/7 service we are currently recruiting for variouspart timeroles, working days, evenings,nightsand weekends. Availability will be discussed at any potential interviews., Provides cleaning servicesin accordance withtraining, throughout the hospital as assigned by their Supervisor/Manager.

Ensures high standardsof cleaning within both clinical and non-clinical areas of the hospital. All areas are to be cleaned to the prevailing standards.
