Shropshire Church of England Academies Trust is pleased to invite applications for the post of Cleaning Assistant at Bomere Heath CE Primary School.

Required: ASAP

Salary: NJC Grade 1 SCP 3 (£12.85 per hour)

Contract type/term: Fixed Term to 31/08/2027 in the first instance

Working hours: Monday to Friday 3.30pm - 5.45pm (13.75 hours per week) Term Time plus 1 week

We are looking to appoint a reliable and conscientious School Cleaner to join our friendly team at Bomere Heath CE Primary School.

This is a regular, term-time (plus 1 week) role with consistent hours, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for children and staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out daily cleaning duties across the school
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Following health, safety and hygiene procedures
• Reporting any concerns relating to the premises

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Is dependable, organised and trustworthy
• Has an awareness of health, safety and hygiene procedures
• Has previous cleaning experience (desirable, but not essential)
• Is comfortable working independently
• Is able to act as a responsible key holder if required

Full induction and training will be provided, and ongoing support will be available.
