Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join Parkside School. The role is 15 hours per week, 3pm–6pm, Monday to Friday, 43 weeks per year, based at Parkside School.

You will work as part of a team to ensure classrooms, offices and communal areas remain clean, safe and welcoming for pupils and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, surfaces and equipment, replenishing supplies, basic maintenance and reporting issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to follow health and safety procedures including COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices and communal areas using standard cleaning equipment.
• Clean internal surfaces including walls, windows, worktops and sanitary facilities.
• Empty bins and remove waste safely.
• Carry out carpet cleaning, stain removal and descaling as required.
• Replenish hygiene supplies such as soap and toilet rolls.
• Report damage or faults promptly.
• Ensure school premises are securely locked/unlocked.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding standards.

Wellspring Academy Trust is looking for a reliable and dedicated Cleaner to join our friendly team. This is an important role where you’ll help ensure our schools remain clean, safe and welcoming places for children, staff and visitors.

We currently have a role working 15 hours per week, 43 weeks per year based at Parkside School working 3pm - 6pm Monday to Friday.

Successful applicants will work as part of a team to ensure a high level of customer service, and adhere to procedures such as; health and safety, COSHH and risk assessments.

As a Cleaner, you will carry out a full range of cleaning duties across teaching spaces, offices and communal areas, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas using appropriate equipment (mopping, sweeping, buffing, suction cleaning and machine scrubbing)

• Cleaning internal surfaces including walls, windows, worktops and sanitary facilities

• Emptying bins and removing waste safely

• Carrying out specialist cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, stain removal and descaling

• Replenishing hygiene supplies (soap, hand towels, toilet rolls)

• Conducting routine equipment safety checks and basic maintenance

• Reporting damage, faults or concerns promptly

• Locking and unlocking school premises and ensuring site security

• Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all times
