Mitie is hiring a Cleaning and Waste Operative to join the warehouse cleaning team. You’ll perform general cleaning across the warehouse, including washrooms and canteens, using appropriate equipment and products.

You’ll also handle waste disposal and respond to client call-outs while following Health & Safety regulations. No prior experience is required as full training is provided; a Basic Disclosure Check may be required, along with a possible drug and alcohol screening test.

Salary: £13.38 / hour

Hours: 11 hours/ day or 38.5 hours/ week

Shift Pattern: 7am to 7pm, 4 on / 4 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call‑outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
