Job summary

Blatchington Mill School is seeking cleaners to join a dedicated facilities team. Roles include general school cleaning, restocking, and some lifting, with duties spread across a large site under a team leader.

Core hours are 3.30pm–7pm, Monday to Friday, with term-time and holiday-working options available. The part-time role offers £14.14 per hour, while the full-time position is paid 52 weeks per year at £27,274–£27,709 per annum; a local government pension scheme is available.

Job description

Part time, 17.5 hours per week (Flexibility available) £14.14 hourly rate

Term Time only, work 39, paid 45.05 weeks per year

NJC/LGA Scale 3 (Actual Salary SCP 7-8 £11,175 - £11,353 per annum)

or

Full time, 37 hours per week, paid 52 weeks per year

Job Role

We are looking for cleaners to join an established team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness at this large secondary school. The team works in areas across a large and varied site, managed by a team leader. The duties include a wide range of general school cleaning and restocking and duties include some occasional lifting.

Most roles are term time only but there is the opportunity for holiday working as well.

The full time salary for this role is £27,274 per annum, however for the part time role the salary will be prorated accordingly (as above), pay is the same each month of the year. The hourly rate for the post is currently £13.69.

There is the opportunity to join the local government pension scheme with generous employer contributions.
