Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a School Cleaner at Ysgol Carreg Hir to join Team NPT. You will work 12.75 hours per week over 41 weeks per year, during term-time evenings, to maintain a clean and safe school environment.

The role offers a Local Government Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions, a living wage rate, induction and training, and access to wellbeing initiatives.

Hours: 12.75 hours per week - 41 weeks per year - Term Time Working

Monday 3:30 pm - 6:15 pm

Tuesday to Friday 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Location of post: Ysgol Carreg Hir, Old Road, Briton Ferry, Neath, SA11 2ET.

We are currently looking for a School Cleaner to join Team NPT.

You’ll join our excellent cleaning team that was shortlisted for the Best Service Team category at the prestigious APSE Awards. The team is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school to ensure pupils are able to learn in a clean and safe environment.

Alongside a positive working environment, we offer access to our generous Local Government Pension Scheme, a living wage payment / a competitive rate of pay, a term time working contract, and access to the Council’s Health & Wellbeing Group.

Some experience is necessary for the role, but all successful candidates will undergo a full induction and training programme.
