Job description

Cleaner – The Forest

£23,492.04 FTE SCP1 or £12.21 an hour

Norse is partnering with Barnsley Borough Council to provide high-quality cleaning services across local areas.

We are recruiting a part-time Cleaner for The Forest, working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3-5pm.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Cleaning floors and rooms (dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming)
  2. Emptying bins, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining sanitation stations
  3. Building relationships with on-site clients
  4. Adhering to health and safety regulations
  5. Reporting any damages or defects

Ideal Candidate:

Previous cleaning or caretaking experience is preferred, along with:

  • Knowledge of basic health & safety procedures
  • Strong communication skills for client interactions
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail
