East Ayrshire Council seeks a part-time support worker for Catrine Nursery, focusing on maintaining a clean and safe environment for children. The role includes compliance with child protection regulations and supporting community objectives. This temporary position is an inclusive opportunity, encouraging diverse applications.
Assist with the delivery of a clean and safe user environment within various premises across East Ayrshire to support the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or update their existing membership before a formal offer of employment. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed prior to employment.

This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Catrine Nursery, working 10 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.96. The working hours are either 6:00 am - 8:00 am or 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The post is temporary until 31st July 2026.
