Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a reliable Cleaner to help keep our school clean, safe and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors in the Airdrie locality. This part-time role is 15 hours per week, with scheduled shifts after school.

Full training will be provided and successful applicants will join the PVG scheme before starting. We offer a generous benefits package including annual leave and recognition of flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning is desirable.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, materials and health & safety rules.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team and help ensure our school environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.

As a Cleaner, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of hygiene across the school. You should be able to work independently as well as part of a wider team, demonstrate strong communication skills, and bring a flexible and positive approach to your daily tasks.

Previous experience in commercial cleaning and familiarity with cleaning equipment, materials, and associated Health & Safety requirements is desirable. Full training will be provided; however, an understanding of safe working practices would be advantageous.

Successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme before starting. This will be arranged by North Lanarkshire Council.

Monday to Thursday 16:00-19:00
Friday 15:30-18:30
