Job summary

The Bramble Academy is seeking a Cleaner in Charge to lead our cleaning team and maintain a safe, welcoming school environment in Mansfield Woodhouse. You will supervise daily cleaning tasks, ensure standards are met, and secure the building at closing including locking doors and setting alarms.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail‑oriented and committed to safeguarding pupils and staff. Previous supervisory cleaning experience is preferred, and a positive, proactive approach is essential.

About This Role - Cleaner in Charge

As a Cleaner in Charge, you will lead by example in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school premises. In addition to carrying out cleaning duties, you will oversee the cleaning team, ensuring tasks are completed to the required standard. You will also be responsible for securing the building at the end of the day, including locking doors, setting alarms, and checking that all areas are safe. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to keeping the school environment clean and secure for everyone.
