Job summary

Arriva Midlands Limited is hiring for a Cleaner/Fueller/Shunter at the Thurmaston depot. The role covers cleaning and keeping the workshop tidy, with responsibilities including vehicle cleaning, record-keeping, and assisting the storekeeper.

The position requires a UK driving licence (manual) with up to 6 points and involves a pre-employment medical. The job offers a full-time contract (39 hours per week, 5 days out of 7) with scheduled evening hours and various benefits including annual leave,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A full UK driving licence (manual, with no more than 6 points).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including fitness for a PCV licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the workshop.
• Cleaning vehicles to Arriva standards and maintaining accurate records.
• Assisting the storekeeper when required.
• Keeping the fuelling area clear of hazards and clean at all times.
• Performing daily sweeping and mopping, with occasional deep interior cleans.
• Complying with all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Role Overview:

Shift times

Full time contract, working 39 hours per week, 5 days out of 7

Between the hours of 17:00 - 02:00
