Job summary

The Best Connection in TR16 is recruiting a Cleaner to join a busy catering and butchery operation. You will help maintain hygiene, cleanliness and food safety in production and preparation areas, ensuring compliance with COSHH and company standards.

This full-time role offers £12.71 per hour, 07:00am - 16:00pm shifts, weekly pay and potential permanent employment after a qualifying period. Own transport is essential as the site is not accessible by public transport.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience within a food production, catering, butchery or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Understanding of food hygiene and cross-contamination controls.
• Ability to work independently and follow structured cleaning schedules.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards.
• Physically capable of carrying out manual cleaning duties.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitising food preparation areas, work benches, sinks and equipment.
• Completing scheduled deep cleans of floors, walls, drains and machinery.
• Maintaining hygiene standards within chillers, freezers and cold storage areas.
• Cleaning and sanitising butchery equipment, including tables and processing machinery.
• Safely handling cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
• Using the correct PPE at all times.
• Removing and segregating waste in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintaining cleaning records, sign-off sheets and hygiene documentation.
• Reporting maintenance issues, equipment faults or hygiene concerns promptly.
• Working closely with production and catering teams to ensure operational standards are maintained.

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a Cleaner to join a busy catering and butchery operation based in the TR16 area. This is an important role within the business, ensuring all food production and preparation areas are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.

This position would suit a reliable and hardworking individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean and compliant working environment.

Pay Rate

£12.71 per hour

Working Hours

• 07:00am - 16:00pm
• Full-time hours
• Includes pre-production cleaning, hygiene checks throughout the day and end-of-shift cleaning duties
