Job summary

Base 71 Barnsley Youth Zone is seeking a reliable part-time Cleaner to maintain clean, organized spaces. The role runs 7 hours per week, Wednesday to Saturday, 6:00am–7:45am, with some bank holidays required.

You will perform cleaning tasks, restrooms, general waste, and report defects, while building good on-site relationships and adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or caretaking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic site health & safety.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients on-site.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors and rooms: dusting, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming.
• Empty bins and clean restrooms; ensure sanitising stations are stocked.
• Build relationships with clients on site.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Report defects or damages promptly.

Join Our Team as a Part-Time Cleaner at Base 71 Barnsley Youth Zone

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean and organized spaces,who values responsibility and enjoys working on their own initiative.

You’ll be working 7 hours per week,Wednesday to Saturday, 6:00am - 7:45am (with a requirement to work some bank holidays).

• Cleaning floors and rooms including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Emptying bins, cleaning restrooms, and ensuring sanities stations are full.
• Building relationships with clients on site.
• Following health and safety at all times.
• Report any defects or damages.

Our Successful Candidate:

We will ideally be looking for you to demonstrate previous cleaning or caretaking experience in a previous role, alongside;

• Knowledge of basic site health & safety
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships with our clients on-site
• Confident working independently to your own initiative
• Good organisational skills, with attention to detail
