Job summary

Diamond Learning Partnership Trust is seeking a reliable Part-Time Cleaner to join our school team. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors, carrying out daily and weekly cleaning across classrooms, shared areas, toilets and staff areas.

Attention to detail and ability to work independently are essential. The role includes descaling sinks, cleaning desks and floors, emptying waste and ensuring facilities are well maintained during term time

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop all hard floors in classrooms, shared areas, public and staff areas and then toilets.
• Clean toilets, sinks and surrounds, taps, mirrors and door handles; replenish toilet rolls, soap and towels as required.
• Empty all waste bins.
• Vacuum all carpets/doormats in classrooms and shared areas, public and staff areas.
• Move rubbish to main waste and recycling bins.
• Descaling sinks and other weekly tasks.
• Dusting ledges, doors, radiators, shelves and surfaces.
• Cleaning blinds, computers and interactive whiteboards.
• Clean sinks in shared areas and wipe cupboard doors and surfaces.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Cleaner to join our school team. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. The role involves carrying out a range of daily and weekly cleaning duties across the school, including classrooms, shared areas, toilets and staff areas. Attention to detail, a good standard of cleanliness and the ability to work independently are important.

Daily Tasks

• Sweep and mop all hard floors in classrooms. shared areas, public and staff areas and then toilets.
• Clean toilets, sinks and surrounds, taps, mirrors, door handles, flush handles, towel holders, with authorised disinfectant and descale WC pans. Replenish all toilet rolls, soap and paper towels as required.
• Empty all waste bins.
• Vacuum all carpets/doormats in classrooms and shared areas, public and staff areas.
• Place rubbish in main waste and recycling bins.

Additional Weekly Tasks

• Descaling sinks
• Dusting ledges, doors, radiators, shelves and other surfaces
• Cleaning/dusting all blinds, computers and interactive whiteboards.
• Clean sinks in shared areas and damp wipe cupboard doors and surfaces/ledges.

Deep Clean: Half Term and Holidays (7 times a year)

• In addition to normal cleaning covered above:
• Clean (damp wipe) plug sockets and pipes in all areas.
• Clean (damp wipe) light fittings (use of ladder required so must have completed Safe Ladder Training).
• All sinks scrubbed around taps and inside, and all cupboard doors scrubbed. Vacuum all edges of carpeted areas.
• Clean/dust walls and black posts etc. Remove all marks and black spots and shampoo/vax one classroom as directed.
• Clean hard floors with hard floor scrubbing machine, when directed.
• Movement of furniture to clean and vacuum out of reach areas.
