Kindred is seeking hardworking and reliable cleaners to be based in an educational building in Portishead. The role involves general cleaning, deep cleaning tasks, and maintaining health and safety standards across facilities.

Applicants must be able to work in a busy environment and follow procedures. Pay is £12.71 per hour with Monday to Friday shifts from 15:30 to 18:30 at Marjoram Way, Portishead, Bristol BS20 7JF.

Qualifications

Cleaner

• Requirements: Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

About the role

Responsibilities:

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.

• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.

• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.

• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning:

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).

• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.

• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).

• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence:

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.

• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.
