Job summary

Kindred are looking for hardworking and reliable cleaners to be based in an educational building in the local area. The role covers general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming and sanitising surfaces, with a fixed schedule of 17:00-18:00, Monday to Friday.

Successful candidates will undertake a DBS check and will work independently with minimal supervision to maintain high cleanliness standards across all areas. A positive attitude and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Able to complete the physical demands of the role with reasonable adjustments.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions and work safely on their own.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Pay: £12.71 per hour.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 17:00-18:00
• Requirements: Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

About The Role

Responsibilities:

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning:

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.
• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.
