Job Title: Day Cleaner

BAM FM is recruiting a Day Cleaner based at the Wallyford Learning Campus in Musselburgh.

Your responsibilities

1. Cleaning according to the specified standards for the premises.
2. Cleaning all surfaces, fixtures, and fittings.
3. Maintaining floors, walls, partitions, and internal woodwork.
4. Cleaning kitchen and catering areas.
5. Maintaining toilets, changing rooms, and sanitary areas.
6. Cleaning equipment after use.
7. Undertaking special cleaning programs during designated periods.
8. Collecting and disposing of waste appropriately.
9. Maintaining waste bins.
10. Creating and maintaining an orderly and productive working environment.
11. Maintaining records as required.
12. Refilling and replacing consumables.
13. Reporting faulty equipment and maintenance needs.
14. Securing premises by locking entrances/exits and reporting security issues.
15. Switching off lights and equipment when not in use.
16. Promoting health and safety for staff and visitors.
17. Monitoring stock and supplies, and cataloguing as needed.
18. Maintaining specialist equipment, checking for quality and safety, and reporting damages.
19. Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and COSHH procedures.
20. Assisting others in the safe use of equipment and materials.

Candidate requirements

Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
