About the role

The cleaning assistant maintains cleanliness in designated areas such as factories, the Mill Store, Glenbervie Centre, and office buildings, ensuring high standards of hygiene across all facilities.

This is a part-time role, approximately 24 hours per week, with hours to be discussed. Please note, it is a fixed-term contract for 1 year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and report when cleaning supplies, toiletries, or equipment need replenishing or maintenance.
• Perform general cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, polishing, toilet and washroom cleaning, surface washing, and floor mopping.
• Complete tasks according to documented procedures, work instructions, and schedules.
• Follow instructions related to cleaning duties issued by the HRA or HR Coordinator.
• Work safely, adhering to health and safety policies, procedures, and legislation.

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience in general cleaning is desirable.

Skills

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong team player with good integration skills.
• Flexible and adaptable attitude.
• Organised and methodical.

Knowledge

• Basic understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Awareness of COSHH regulations.
