Job summary

Ashtead Technology in Turriff, Scotland, is seeking a Cleaner for an evening part-time role at our Towie Barclay Works facility. You will perform cleaning duties across all areas following the established schedule, maintain high hygiene standards and report any issues to the HSE team.

The role offers 20 hours per week, Monday to Thursday and Saturday, with shifts that fit around the business needs. You will join a team focused on safety, cleanliness and professional presentation of our facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning or similar facilities role.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals and equipment, including their safe use.
• An awareness of health, safety and COSHH requirements.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and address cleaning needs as they arise.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues.
• A reliable and organised approach, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out cleaning duties in line with the cleaning schedule and instructions from the Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator.
• Cleaning and restocking designated areas to maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation.
• Completing and recording routine cleaning tasks and inspections.
• Supporting deep cleaning activities and special projects as required.
• Carrying out additional spot cleaning whenever needed, outside the planned cleaning schedule.
• Reporting equipment requiring repair or replacement to the HSE department.
• Monitoring cleaning supplies and notifying the HSE department of low stock levels in good time.
• Following all relevant health, safety and COSHH regulations and guidelines.
• Maintaining effective written and verbal communication with the HSE department.
