Medirest Signature in Leyland is seeking a Cleaner to carry out cleaning duties across the Civic Centre. This part-time, permanent position offers 15 hours per week and a salary of £10,418–£10,586 pro rata per year.

You will vacuum, dust, polish, clean washrooms and kitchens, follow schedules, maintain high cleanliness standards, and cooperate with Facilities Officers. The role emphasizes safety and customer service, with benefits including Local Government pension and Healthcare Cash Plan.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties throughout the Civic Centre in accordance with agreed schedules, frequencies, and standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of internal areas, ensuring they are free from litter, debris, and hazards.
• Vacuum, dust, polish, and clean floors, furniture, kitchens, washrooms, and other designated areas to a high standard.
• Ensure washrooms are fully stocked with consumables and report any shortages promptly.
• Respond positively and professionally to customer and building user requirements where appropriate.
• Report any maintenance issues, defects, safety hazards, or unsafe working practices to the Facilities Officers.
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning equipment and materials.

About the job:

To carry out cleaning duties throughout the Civic Centre, ensuring all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. Duties include vacuuming, dusting, polishing, cleaning washrooms and kitchens, and undertaking other cleaning tasks as required.
