Job summary

Lidl GB is hiring a Cleaner to support our stores across the United Kingdom. This 30-hour contract starts at 6am, offering steady hours and competitive pay of £13.45–£13.65 per hour, plus a bank holiday uplift and a benefits package.

You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining hygiene and a welcoming store environment for customers and colleagues. You'll be part of a diverse, fast-growing team, receive training, and have opportunities to grow within Lidl's store operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or maintenance is beneficial.
• Hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness and hygiene to a high standard.
• Keep trolley bays, car park and outside areas tidy.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Clean welfare areas including toilets and waste areas.
• Assist with minor maintenance when needed.
• Ensure health and safety standards are upheld.

What you'll do

• Thoroughly maintain your store to keep it looking its very best
• Keep your store’s trolley bays, car park, and outside spaces clean and tidy to make a great first impression
• Confidently operate industrial cleaning machinery
• Clean the welfare area, including toilets, waste and recycling sections
• Carry out minor maintenance tasks when needed
• Proactively make sure that hygiene, Health and Safety standards are upheld
