Job summary

Wyvern St Edmund's Academy in Salisbury is seeking enthusiastic cleaners to join our Site Team and help maintain high cleanliness standards across the school's buildings and facilities. You will carry out cleaning tasks, use materials and equipment safely, report hazards promptly, observe health and safety requirements, and keep required records.

You will work with school staff and adapt to changes to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks as outlined in the school's cleaning schedule.
• Use all cleaning materials and equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
• Report breakdowns or hazards to the Head of School or supervisor promptly.
• Observe health and safety and security requirements at all times.
• Complete records or documentation as required by the Head of School.
• Maintain good working relationships with staff and adapt to reasonable changes to routines to keep the school running smoothly.
• Ensure work complies with stated requirements and undertake training as required.

We currently have a requirement for additional cleaners to join our Site Team and work with us at WSE. We are proud of its reputation as a happy and caring school.

We require enthusiastic individuals to help maintain the high cleanliness standards of all of the buildings and facilities across our large site.

Main Duties

• To carry out cleaning tasks set out in the school's cleaning schedule.
• To use all cleaning materials and equipment in a safe and proper manner in accordance with any instructions and specifications provided.
• To report the breakdown of any cleaning equipment or any perceived hazards in the workplace to the Head of School (or other nominated supervisor)
• To observe health and safety and security requirements.
• To complete any appropriate records or documentation required by the Head of School.
• To maintain good working relationships with other school staff and to co-operate with reasonable changes to daily work routines to assist the smooth operation of the school.
• To ensure that work undertaken complies with stated requirements and undertake appropriate training, as required.
