Job summary

Chessington Garden Centre is recruiting a Part-Time Cleaner to join our team for 2 mornings a week, Wednesday and Saturday, from 7am to 10am, with additional hours available for holiday cover when required.

This role involves cleaning staff areas, toilets, and offices, plus general duties such as sweeping and mopping; on-site parking, staff discount and pension provided. Ride to Work scheme available on request.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in customer and staff areas.
• Clean and maintain staff and customer toilets.
• Clean staff areas, including staff room and offices.
• Carry out general cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping.
• Ensure areas are hygienic and presentable, and provide holiday cover when required.

Job description

We want our site to be welcoming, clean and safe for all our visitors and staff. Because of this, we are recruiting for a Part-Time Cleaner to join our team for 2 mornings a week, every Wednesday and Saturday, from 7am to 10am, with additional hours available to provide holiday cover when required.

This role will involve cleaning staff areas, such as the staff room and offices, as well as maintaining the staff and customer toilets. General cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping, will also be part of the role.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has the initiative to work independently
• Is self-motivated and comfortable working alone
• Has excellent attention to detail and maintains high standards of cleanliness
• Has a good knowledge of cleaning products and their safe use
• Is reliable, punctual and flexible to provide additional holiday cover when required

The Responsibilities

• Maintaining general cleanliness and tidiness throughout customer and staff areas
• Cleaning and maintaining staff and customer toilets
• Cleaning staff areas, including the staff room and offices
• Carrying out general cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping
• Ensuring all areas are kept clean, hygienic and presentable
• Providing additional cleaning cover during staff holidays when required

Working Hours

Wednesday and Saturday: 7am–10am

6 contracted hours per week
