Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a full-time Cleaner to join Chartwells' cleaning and facilities teams. The role is 40 hours per week, with Saturday morning shifts and contracted for 45 weeks per year.

You will work with the cleaning team to maintain safe, hygienic environments, performing dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and sanitising surfaces. Flexibility and reliability are valued in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
• Brings a flexible, reliable approach to shift patterns.
• Able to work in a hands-on, team environment.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic.
• Dust, sweep, polish, mop and vacuum to a high standard.
• Sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints regularly.
• Mop up spillages quickly and perform additional cleaning duties as needed.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
