Job summary

Unknown is seeking a school cleaner to maintain cleaning of internal areas. You will be assigned a daily area and responsible for general cleaning tasks across toilets, corridors, classrooms, staff rooms, and other communal spaces.

Responsibilities include sanitising restroom facilities, hoovering, mopping, emptying waste bins, and using scrubber dryers where provided. The role requires attention to detail and consistent, reliable performance in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean internal areas of the school as outlined.
• Clean assigned areas daily as specified.
• Clean toilets, corridors, staff rooms, classrooms, halls, indoor sports area/ changing rooms, offices and communal areas.
• Sanitise toilets, sinks, flooring, soap dispensers, hand dryers, cubicles and pipework.
• Hoover or Swiff and mop rooms and communal areas, skirting boards and window sills.
• Sanitise shower areas and cubicles in sport/change rooms.
• Clean staff room surfaces, floors and furnishings.
• Empty wastebins throughout buildings.
• In some areas a scrubber dryer machine may be provided.

Job description

The cleaning of all internal areas of the school.

Each individual will be given a set area to work in daily.

This can include any of the following areas:

• Toilets, corridors, staff rooms, classrooms, school halls, indoor sports area/ changing rooms, offices and communal areas.

Breakdown of cleaning does depend on the individual area, however this can include:

• Sanitising toilet areas toilets, sinks, flooring, soap dispensers, hand dryers, cubicles and pipework
• General cleaning of rooms and communal area hoovering or swiffing and mopping, skirting boards, window cills and hard furnishings such as shelves and desks
• Sport areas / changing rooms sanitising shower areas and cubicles
• Staff rooms sanitising sink and work surface areas, floors and any hard furnishings
• Wastebins throughout buildings to be emptied
• In some areas a scrubber dryer machine may be provided
