Job summary

BBS Recruitment is seeking an experienced cleaner to join our client school in Rhondda Cynon Taf. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across internal areas of the school.

Responsibilities include cleaning toilets, classrooms and communal spaces, reporting issues to the supervisor, and adhering to cleaning schedules. Enhanced DBS is required and a pension scheme plus fuel allowance are provided. No sponsorships available.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks, floors, cubicles, soap dispensers, hand dryers and accessible pipework.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors in classrooms, corridors and communal areas.
• Clean skirting boards, window sills, desks, shelves and other hard furnishings.
• Clean and sanitise shower areas and changing rooms.
• Clean and sanitise staff room sinks, work surfaces, floors and furnishings.
• Empty waste bins throughout allocated areas and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Use cleaning equipment and products safely and in accordance with instructions.
• Use a scrubber dryer machine where provided and where trained to do so.
• Report any cleaning, maintenance, safety or hygiene issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a professional, reliable and positive approach while working within the school environment.
• Be able to follow instructions and cleaning schedules.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Be willing to undertake all relevant training.
