Job summary

BBS Recruitment is seeking a school cleaner for a client in Pontypridd. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across internal areas within the school.

Role includes cleaning toilets and communal spaces, following cleaning schedules, and working both independently and as part of a team. DBS required and sponsorship not available; fuel allowance and a pension scheme are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks, floors, cubicles, soap dispensers, hand dryers and accessible pipework.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors in classrooms, corridors and communal areas.
• Clean skirting boards, window sills, desks, shelves and other hard furnishings.
• Clean and sanitise shower areas and changing rooms.
• Clean and sanitise staff room sinks, work surfaces, floors and furnishings.
• Empty wastebins throughout the allocated areas and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Use cleaning equipment and products safely and in accordance with instructions.
• Report any cleaning, maintenance, safety or hygiene issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a professional, reliable and positive approach while working within the school environment.
• Be able to follow instructions and cleaning schedules.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Be willing to undertake all relevant training.

We are currently recruiting a cleaner for our client based in Pontypridd.

Responsibility of a Cleaner:

• Use cleaning equipment and products safely and in accordance with instructions.
• Use a scrubber dryer machine where provided and where trained to do so.
• Report any cleaning, maintenance, safety or hygiene issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a professional, reliable and positive approach while working within the school environment.
• Be able to follow instructions and cleaning schedules.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
