Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cleaner at RAF Odiham to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for military personnel, staff and visitors. This on-site role covers offices, accommodation and communal areas with a 37.5-hour week from Monday to Friday, 06:30–14:30.

You'll operate cleaning equipment safely, follow COSHH guidelines and uphold high standards of cleanliness to support a positive environment across the site.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy to follow instructions and cleaning records.
• Understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices.
• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial or similar environment.
• Able to follow cleaning schedules and maintain high standards.
• Experience with COSHH, manual handling, or in MOD/secure environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning of offices, accommodation, common areas, kitchens, toilets, showers and corridors.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors, dust surfaces and keep all areas clean and presentable.
• Clean and sanitise washrooms, toilets, showers and frequently touched surfaces.
• Empty bins, manage waste and replenish hygiene supplies.
• Use cleaning equipment and products safely, following health and safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns and support deep cleaning when required, maintaining high standards throughout the site.

What you bring:

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills to follow instructions and complete cleaning records.
• Understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices.
• Previous experience in a cleaning role, ideally in a commercial or similar environment.
• Confident using cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals safely.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Experience of COSHH, manual handling, deep cleaning or working in an MOD or secure environment would be an advantage.
