Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Cleaner on a 1-month contract with a Local Authority in Nottingham. Location: Hillside Nursery & Primary School, Roberts Lane, Hucknall NG15 6LW. The role entails maintaining high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, offices, and toilets.

Shifts are 06:00–08:00, Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week. Candidates should have prior cleaning experience and an Enhanced DBS check. Right to Work in the UK is required.

Job Purpose

As a Cleaner , you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across a busy primary school and nursery environment. You will ensure classrooms, offices, toilets, and communal areas are clean, safe, and ready for staff and pupils each day.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

• Clean classrooms, teaching areas, and learning environments.
• Clean offices and administrative areas.
• Clean and sanitise toilets and washroom facilities.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust designated areas.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the school.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
• Report maintenance or cleaning issues to supervisors.
• Support a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Essential Experience Required

• Previous cleaning experience.
• Experience working within schools, education settings, offices, or commercial environments is desirable.
