Job summary

Blue Bell Hill Primary School is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our busy site. You will clean classrooms and shared spaces to a high standard, ensure equipment is safe, and replenish consumables as needed.

Work as part of the site team, show flexibility to meet changing needs, and interact positively with pupils, staff and visitors. A good understanding of safeguarding and the ability to report concerns to the DSL are essential.

About the Role

Cleaning Duties

• Clean classrooms, shared areas, and other designated spaces to a high standard, ensuring they are well-maintained and conducive to learning
• Ensure all cleaning and site equipment is kept in a safe and working condition
• Replenish consumables (e.g., soap, paper towels) as needed

Teamwork and Flexibility

• Work collaboratively with the site team and other staff to ensure the school is clean and presentable at all times
• Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the school

Safeguarding

• Maintain a good understanding of the school's safeguarding policies and procedures
• Report any concerns or issues related to the safety and wellbeing of pupils to the designated safeguarding lead (DSL)
• Contribute to the overall safeguarding of all pupils in the school

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the school
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with pupils, staff, and visitors
