Job summary

Atlas is hiring a part-time cleaner for Newport, Isle of Wight. Hours 18:00–20:00, Monday to Friday. You will be inducted in the first week and trained to deliver cleaning specifications and use equipment.

You will provide high standard customer care across shifts, handle site equipment and consumables, and maintain health and safety standards. Local to the area, valid UK right to work, and ability to lift and bend are required. A free uniform and progression opportunities are offered.

About The Role

The days and hours: Monday - Friday 18:00 - 20:00.

Hourly Rate: £14.45.

Location: Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 5BF. Candidates must have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle or reliable transport due to limited public transport.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Inducted and trained within the first week to deliver cleaning specifications and use equipment.
• Provide a high standard of customer care across different shift hours.
• Handle site‐based equipment and cleaning materials, including inventory of consumables (paper towels, soap, toilet paper, bin liners).
• Empty litter bins into appropriate waste and recycling containers.
• Ensure cleaning is completed to the highest standards at all times.
• Maintain Health and Safety standards.
• Work within a team that goes the extra mile.

Requirements

• Positive and friendly attitude, excited to make a difference.
• Local to the area.
• Basic spoken English for communication with safety and the public.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Physical ability to carry out the role (lifting, bending, etc.).
• Cleaners with experience welcome but will be trained from scratch if they match our approach.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
