Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence work, contracted to 30 hours per week. You will help deliver our promise of safe, clean environments across client sites, with a shift pattern predominantly in mornings.

Ideal candidates have hands-on cleaning experience and a flexible approach. This role provides stable hours, being part of one of the UK's largest facilities management teams with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles is preferred but not essential.
• Availability for mornings as part of the shift pattern.
• Used to working in a facilities or cleaning team.

Responsibilities

• Keep environments safe and hygienic for clients and customers.
• Dust, sweep, polish, mop and vacuum designated areas to a high standard.
• Sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints regularly.
• Respond to spillages quickly and efficiently.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.

Here's an idea of what your shift pattern will be:

• Mon: Mornings
• Tues: Mornings
• Weds: Mornings
• Thurs: Mornings
• Fri: Mornings

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
