Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join our Defence, Government, and Energy services teams. The role covers 20 hours per week with a 49.2-week contract, delivering high cleaning standards across client sites.

The role expects a hands-on cleaner with an eye for detail and flexibility in shift patterns. Prior cleaning experience is helpful but not essential, and a friendly approach to client service is valued.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hygienic and safe environments for clients and customers.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum designated areas to a high standard.
• Sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints regularly.
• Assist with spill response and general cleaning duties as needed.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste and recycle where applicable.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies to ensure ready availability.

We're currently recruiting a part time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 20 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. If you're a committed Cleaner looking for a role you'll shine in, we've got the position for you.

Here's an idea of what your shift pattern will be:

• Mon: Mornings
• Tues: Mornings
• Weds: Mornings
• Thurs: Mornings
• Fri: Mornings

Please note: This role is contracted to 49.2 weeks per year

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our Ideal Cleaner Will

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
