Job summary

Edsential Community Interest Company is seeking a part-time school cleaner for Woodfall Primary and Nursery School in Little Neston. The role covers term-time hours with shifts from 3.30 pm to 5.45 pm, Monday to Friday, and a total weekly workload of 11 hours and 15 minutes.

The candidate should have or be willing to gain basic cleaning qualifications, understand cross-contamination controls, and demonstrate clear communication and time-management abilities.

Qualifications

  • Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Cross Contamination in a cleaning environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work alone and as a team.
  • Awareness of safeguarding of children and young people is desirable.

If successful, you will be required to undertake the following dutieswithin all designated areas:

  • General cleaning
  • Sweeping
  • Vacuum cleaning
  • Emptying litter bins
  • Polishing and dusting
  • Use of powered equipment where applicable

What do we require from you?

  • Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable but not essential
  • NVQ in Cleaning is desirable
  • Knowledge of Cross Contamination in a cleaning environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly, understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work alone and as a team
  • Awareness of the relevant legislation and guidance in working practices in relation to the safeguarding of children and young people is desirable but not essential.
