Job summary

Cefn Saeson Comprehensive School is looking for a reliable Cleaner to join our school site staff. The role involves maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene across classrooms, corridors and communal areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Hours are 16 per week, with a late-afternoon/early-evening pattern and start as soon as possible through a contract likely until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting surfaces
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Replenishing cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues
• Following health and safety regulations at all times

To start as soon as possible up to 31st August 2027 in the first instance. Grade 1, SCP 3, £10,060 (subject to term time adjustment). The salary stated will be subject to a term time only adjustment for the commencement of employment outside of the start date of 1st September. 16 hours per week 2.45 pm to 6.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 2.45 pm to 5.45 pm Friday. The post will also be required to work for 10 days in August.
