Cleaner - E4 - Immediate Start

Ventry Care is recruiting members of domestic staff to join the housekeeping team at our residential care home in Highams Park, E4 (London Borough of Waltham Forest).

We care for older persons and older persons with dementia.

Pay: hourly, starting at £12.25 (increasing for excellent candidates).

Hours: 08:00 to 14:00 shifts, up to 20 hours a week.

About This Role

• Essential infection control work, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home.
• Cleaning and polishing lounges, bedrooms, corridors, common rooms, and offices.
• Washing, drying, and packing away laundry.
• Carpet shampooing and spring cleaning tasks.
• Using electrical equipment safely (hoover, washing machine, dryer, iron, carpet cleaner).
• Being aware of the usage and storage of materials and equipment, complying with COSHH requirements.
• Being aware of hazards and working within a safe environment, prioritizing safety.
• Ensuring all equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Restocking toiletries, soaps, towels, etc., as required.
• Performing other domestic tasks as directed.

You will be supervised and supported by the care home management and will take instructions from them. Your goal is to keep a busy care home clean and organized. You must be self-motivated and committed to working well.

Experience is preferable but not essential. Ongoing training and support will be provided.
