Job summary

Kindred based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to support classrooms, toilets and common areas in an educational building. You will contribute to a safe, welcoming environment while working 16:00-18:00, Monday to Friday, on site at Morton Terrace, Gainsborough DN21 2ST.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.

• Replenishing soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks as required.
• Following COSHH and health & safety regulations.

• Pay: £12.71 per hour.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 16:00-18:00

Responsibilities:

As a cleaner with Kindred, you will play an important role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and service users. Your duties will include:

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning:

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.
• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.

Customer Care & Presentation:

• Ensuring cleaning standards reflect Kindred’s commitment to a professional, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
• Being polite and respectful when working in areas where staff, clients, or visitors are present.
