Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a dedicated individual for cleaning duties at Insch Primary School. The role involves a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service quality, regulated by necessary safety and reference checks. Working hours are flexible, with 4 hours daily either split or in the afternoon.

• Regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults.

Job description

Carry out cleaning duties in Aberdeenshire Council Education and Children’s Services premises.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

4 hours daily, can be worked either split am & pm or just pm. This will be confirmed at interview.

Although this position will be based at Insch Primary School, for administrative purposes, your base will be The Gordon Schools, Huntly.

Aberdeenshire Council currently applies a Living Wage Supplement to all Council employees earning less than £12.60 per hour.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
