Summary We are looking to appoint a dependable, hardworking and enthusiastic Cleaner to join our friendly and committed cleaning team.

You will work alongside a supportive and experienced team, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail and is committed to maintaining high standards. If you are reliable, conscientious and enjoy working as part of a team, we would be pleased to hear from you.

Hours - 10 hours per week to be worked 2 hours per day – Monday to Friday

Shifts available to be discussed at interview

  • 6am till 8am
  • 6.30am till 8.30am
  • 3.30pm till 5.30pm
  • 4pm till 6pm
The successful candidate will:
  • Have high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Take pride in maintaining a safe and pleasant learning environment.
  • Be reliable, trustworthy and committed to their role.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas.
  • Vacuuming, mopping and dusting
  • Cleaning toilet facilities
  • Emptying bins and replenishing consumables.
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the school.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Relevant Health & Safety training relating to the role - COSHH, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, Ladder safety, Health & Safety Awareness. (the successful candidate will be required to undertake this training)
Essential Experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively and ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions.
  • Experience of carrying out cleaning duties to a high standard with good understanding of health and safety and hygiene practices.
  • Physically able to undertake cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending and standing for periods of time.
Desirable Experience
  • Previous cleaning experience in a school, nursery, college or other educational setting and inusing professional cleaning equipment and products.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe storage of cleaning materials.
  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within a school environment including site security.
  • Relevant cleaning or health and safety qualifications/training.
