Job summary

Vertas is looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our Facilities Team at Saint Mary's Catholic Voluntary Academy in Glossop. Based at the academy, you will work 17 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 14:45–18:15 and Friday 15:15–18:15 for 38 weeks a year, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across classrooms, toilets, reception and offices.

Enhanced DBS check is required; you should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and a commitment to customer

About the Role:

Based at Saint Mary's Catholic Voluntary Academy, Glossop (SK13 8NE), you will be working 17 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 14.45pm-18.15pm, Friday 15.15 - 18:15 for 38 weeks of the year. You'll play a key role in maintaining cleanliness to a high standard that meets our standards and delights our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning toilets, Nursey & Reception Area
• Wiping down desks, offices, tables, windowsills, ledges, etc.
• General cleaning duties across classrooms and communal areas
• Hoovering and mopping floors
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained

Who are we looking for?

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Enhanced DBS check is required - if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it
• Great communication skills and experience in similar cleaning setting
