Cleaner

Location: Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh

Shift Pattern: 5 over 7 days, 37.5 hours per week

Pay Rate: £12.95 per hour

Job Overview

Responsible for cleaning office and events venue premises for a prestigious client, including washrooms, kitchens, the venue hall, and surrounding areas.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

1. Hoovering, mopping, cleaning washrooms and kitchens
2. Carrying out deep cleans using buffers and carpet cleaners (training provided)
3. Ensuring premises are safe and disinfected regularly
4. Removing waste, replenishing supplies, and attending to reactive jobs such as spillages
5. Providing customer service alongside the client and staff

Person Specification

• Well presented with good communication skills
• Polite, approachable, and proactive with a can-do attitude
• Hardworking with good timekeeping and attendance

• Previous cleaning experience preferred, especially with unsupervised work
