Abbeygate Sixth Form College in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. This role is 10 hours per week over 42 weeks per year, with shifts from Monday to Friday, 4pm to 6pm, helping maintain a safe, clean learning environment for students and staff.

You will be responsible for cleaning designated areas of the college, following all relevant health and safety procedures. Your duties will include cleaning classrooms, offices, toilets, and communal areas, vacuuming and mopping floors, and responding promptly to spills when required. You will also be responsible for cleaning windows, replenishing supplies, and carrying out deep cleans as scheduled to ensure all areas of the college are kept to a high standard.
As a key holder, you will be required to open and secure the premises at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring all doors and windows are locked and alarms are set correctly. You will take responsibility for the safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment, report any maintenance issues, security concerns, or health and safety hazards to the site manager, and ensure that the building remains secure when occupied or vacant.
