Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust is seeking a reliable cleaning operative to maintain cleanliness across classrooms, offices and washrooms. You will perform routine duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting, ensuring hygiene supplies are stocked and safety guidelines are followed.

The role involves occasional deep cleans during school holidays and responsibilities like locking/unlocking the site to keep premises secure. No prior qualifications required, and training is provided on day one.

Responsibilities

• Keep classrooms, offices and washrooms clean and tidy.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and empty bins daily.
• Sanitise washrooms and keep hygiene supplies stocked.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and follow health & safety guidelines.
• Occasional deep cleans during school holidays.
• Lock/unlock the site and help keep the school premises secure.
• Be a reliable, hardworking team player with ability to work independently.

What You'll Be Doing

• Working as part of a friendly team, you will keep classrooms, offices and washrooms fresh and tidy.
• Carrying out everyday cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying bins.
• Sanitising washrooms and keeping hygiene supplies (soap, paper towels) fully stocked.
• Using cleaning equipment and products safely (we will teach you all the Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines).
• Carrying out occasional deep cleans during school holiday periods.
• Helping lock or unlock the site and keeping the school premises secure.
• A reliable, hardworking individual who takes pride in a job well done.
• Someone comfortable doing physical work (lifting, carrying and active movement).
• A great team player who can also work well independently and follow instructions.
• Someone committed to creating a safe environment for pupils and staff.
