Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust is seeking reliable Cleaners to join our team. You will maintain clean and welcoming learning environments across classrooms, offices and communal areas, following health and safety practices and COSHH guidance. You will work as part of a friendly team, with full training provided.

Responsibilities include using appropriate cleaning equipment, reporting faults, and supporting safeguarding by maintaining confidentiality and respecting pupil welfare at all times.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices and communal areas using appropriate equipment (mopping, sweeping, buffing, suction cleaning and machine scrubbing).
• Clean internal surfaces including walls, windows, worktops and sanitary facilities.
• Empty bins and remove waste safely.
• Carry out specialist cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, stain removal and descaling.
• Replenish hygiene supplies (soap, hand towels, toilet rolls).
• Conduct routine equipment safety checks and basic maintenance.
• Report damage, faults or concerns promptly.
• Locking and unlocking school premises and ensuring site security.
• Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all times, contribute directly to a safe learning environment for young people.

Job description

As a Cleaner, you will carry out a full range of cleaning duties across teaching spaces, offices and communal areas, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas using appropriate equipment (mopping, sweeping, buffing, suction cleaning and machine scrubbing)
