Job summary

Kellan Group is seeking a Cleaner in Bolton to carry out high-standard cleaning across client sites. The role involves general cleaning duties, floor care, surface cleaning, and maintaining hygienic washrooms and communal areas.

You should have practical cleaning experience; COSHH awareness is beneficial. The position offers immediate starts, flexible shift patterns, and weekly pay, with opportunities to work at various sites around Bolton.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, products and equipment is advantageous.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations, or willingness to complete relevant training, is essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Driver preferred but not essential.
• Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all general cleaning duties to a high standard
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture and fixtures
• Clean and sanitise toilets, washrooms and shower facilities
• Clean kitchens, canteens and communal areas
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls and paper towels
• Clean internal windows, glass, mirrors and doors
• Disinfect high-touch areas including door handles, handrails and light switches
• Clean offices, classrooms, corridors, reception areas and stairwells
• Report any maintenance issues, hazards or damaged equipment
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely in line with COSHH regulations
• Follow all health and safety procedures and site-specific cleaning schedules
• Lock and secure areas where required at the end of each shift
• Work independently or as part of a team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times

Pay rates differ depending on client, experience and role.
