Job summary

The Supply Register is seeking a reliable School Cleaner in Bodmin, Cornwall to join a school team on a temporary basis. The role involves cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas after school hours, with emphasis on health and safety and safeguarding compliance.

Ideal candidates will have cleaning experience, be punctual, able to work independently or with others, and capable of maintaining high hygiene standards in a school setting. Vetting will be completed prior to starting work.

Location: Bodmin, Cornwall
Start Date: As soon as possible, subject to successful completion of relevant vetting checks
Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 3:00pm 5:30pm
• Friday: 3:30pm 6:00pm
  Contract: Temporary

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a school in Bodmin, Cornwall.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for pupils and staff and will ideally have previous cleaning experience. School or commercial cleaning experience would be desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning classrooms, offices, communal areas and other designated areas
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities

• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces

Vetting Requirements:

All candidates will be required to successfully complete our full safeguarding and vetting process before commencing work.

• Minimum of two satisfactory employer references covering the previous 24 months
• Three references required if you have not previously worked with children
• Professional character reference required for any gaps in employment
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred; otherwise, candidates must be willing to obtain a new Enhanced DBS
• Right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• Proof of National Insurance number
• Proof of any name changes, where applicable
• Overseas police check if you have lived/worked outside of the UK for more than six months
