Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Bangor is seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaner to join the Sodexo team. You will help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, supporting the health, hygiene, and comfort of residents and staff across the site.

This role offers 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 13:00, at £12.71 per hour. You’ll complete scheduled cleaning tasks, keep supplies stocked, follow infection control and health & safety policies, and support the wider team.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and hygiene commitment.
• Willingness to complete additional training (First Aid, Security Awareness, Health & Safety).

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, offices, meeting rooms, toilets, and communal areas.
• Maintain clean, hygienic spaces and ensure essential supplies are stocked.
• Follow infection control, COSHH, and health & safety policies.
• Work safely with PPE and report hazards or equipment issues.
• Support the wider cleaning team and cover holidays or absences when required.

We are seeking adedicated Site-Based Cleaner to join our Sodexo team in Bangor.

In this role,you will play an important part in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcomingenvironment, supporting the health, hygiene, and comfort of residents and staffacross the site.

Approved Premises playa vital role in supporting individuals released from prison by providingenhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community.

This is arewarding opportunity to work within a unique residential setting, gainingvaluable experience while contributing to positive outcomes for individualswith complex needs.

What you’ll do: Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, offices, meeting rooms, toilets, and communal areas, ensuring consistently high standards across the site.

Maintain clean, hygienic, and welcoming spaces, ensuring essential supplies such as soap, sanitiser, toilet roll, and paper products are fully stocked.

Follow Sodexo policies and procedures relating to infection control, security, COSHH, and health & safety.

Work safely at all times by wearing the correct PPE, reporting hazards or equipment issues, and following all site processes.

Support the wider cleaning team by being flexible across different areas of the site and providing cover for holidays or absences when required.

What you bring: Previous experience in cleaning or a similar role within a corporate, residential, or professional environment is desirable.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and communicate clearly with colleagues and site users.

The ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a wider team.

A strong eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and working in line with data protection requirements.

A willingness to complete additional training relevant to the role, including areas such as first aid, security awareness, and health & safety.

The ability to successfully complete security screening, including BPSS checks, in line with client requirements.
